Albert Poon was born in 1973, and trained as an architect at the University of Southern California. He was taught by Julius Shulman at his home during final year in college, and continues to have an interest in architectural photography both professionally and as a personal interest. He has held two solo exhibitions at the Goethe-Institut Gallery in Hong Kong, titled Architectural Chronography and Bunker. He is also the archivist for the 2006 Venice Biennale Hong Kong Pavilion.
